ScaffPilot / Construction site plan
Site layout planningA site plan that everyone can read.
Where the fence runs and where the gate opens, how far the crane reaches, where the huts stand and where materials go: ScaffPilot’s site plan puts it all on one sheet, in the same project as the building and the scaffolds, and prints it with a legend.
In short: in ScaffPilot’s Site plan menu you put a map or a drawing under the site and draw site fences, hoardings and barriers with gates, labelled zones with their areas, crane reach circles and sectors, and edge protection. The project’s 3D huts, containers, cranes and roads are on the same plan, and the site-plan PDF sheet has a legend and a north arrow.
Underlay, boundary and traffic
- Map or drawing underlay – a map of the location (OpenStreetMap, OpenFreeMap), or a drawing or PDF such as the architect’s site plan.
- Site fences, hoardings and barriers drawn along the boundary, with vehicle and pedestrian gates.
- Roads and surfaces – site roads, parking rows and paved or gravel areas on the terrain.
- Zones – storage, laydown, no-go, parking, waste and welfare areas with labels and their area in m².
Equipment and safety
- Crane reach as a circle or a sector – you enter the radius, and it can follow a crane model. It shows reach, not lifting capacity.
- Site huts, containers and cranes – the 3D site objects, placed where they fit.
- Edge protection drawn as a railing line along open edges.
- Scaffolds and formwork of the same project on the same plan.
From the plan to the order.
Site-plan PDF
A plan sheet with a legend that explains the symbols and a north arrow, ready to print.
Lengths and areas
Fence metres, gates and zone areas, measured from the plan.
Quotation requests
Rent, delivery or installation of site equipment, asked from site equipment suppliers in the site’s country.
Cloud and teams
Cloud files, teams and live co-editing of the same plan.
A layout plan, not a lifting plan. The crane reach is the radius you enter; ScaffPilot does not check lifting capacity, loads or ground bearing capacity. Check the crane and the lifts with the crane supplier.
Site plan questions
Is the site plan included in ScaffPilot Free?
Yes. The site plan and the site-plan PDF are in every edition, Free included, with no time limit and no credit card.
What can I use as the underlay?
A map of the site’s location (OpenStreetMap or OpenFreeMap) or a drawing, for example the architect’s site plan as a PDF. You draw the fences, zones, crane reach and edge protection on top of it.
Does the crane reach show lifting capacity?
No. You enter the radius – or let the reach follow a crane model on the site – and the plan shows the circle or sector it covers. Lifting capacity and load charts are not part of the site plan.
Who receives my site equipment quotation request?
The listed site equipment suppliers in the site’s country that offer what you ask for – rent, delivery or installation. You do not have to pick them one by one. Suppliers with ScaffPilot Supplier see who is asking and the full project and can reply to you directly.
Are the scaffolds and the site plan in the same file?
Yes. The site plan is part of ScaffPilot: the building, the scaffolds, the formwork and the site plan are in the same project and the same cloud file, so the whole team works on one plan.
